Armed with earnest lyricism and her vintage 1920’s acoustic guitar, Mae Krell’s branch of indie-folk personifies the often overlooked emotions and experiences that come with the human experience.

With the help of producer and multi-instrumentalist Jakob Leventhal, Mae has developed a unique sound that offers a perfect cushion for the deeply vulnerable discussions of mental health and the struggles that plague daily life. Following the success of her 2020 single “garden”, Mae continued her growth with two sister releases: the imposter syndrome EP and the subsequent imposter syndrome (b sides).

Mae spent the summer of 2022 on a nationwide tour in partnership with Sofar Sounds, followed by a few months supporting Ethan Jewell on his "Lonely Together Tour". In addition, Mae was one of the 2023 recipients of the LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award from Live Nation’s Music Forward Foundation in partnership with CitiBank, which offers just 15 recipients each year with a grant to support their creative artistry. She wrapped up 2023 with her first international endeavor: a 3 week long UK/Ireland tour in partnership with Sofar Sounds.

In April of 2024, Mae laid her heart on the line with her deeply vulnerable and poignantly honest debut album, (i think) i might be grown, which received praise from Atwood Magazine, among others.

Mae then went into hibernation, focusing on writing and finding her place in the world as she settled into her mid-20s, focusing on experiencing life one day at a time.

Mae's sophomore album, lullabies for the soul that stuck around, is due for release this year.
